BlueLine Rental is looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and accountable Mechanic to join the team at the American Canyon branch in Napa Valley. The Mechanic will perform maintenance and hard-down repairs of electrical systems, hydraulics, mechanical, and diesel on a primarily industrial construction equipment while using a high degree of independent judgment and troubleshooting.


  • Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests in the shop
  • Work out of the shop on equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Daily utilization of computer applications and programs
  • Engage and interact with customers and coworkers to troubleshoot and solve equipment malfunctions


  • Focus on continuous improvements and lean methodologies, such as 5S or other Six Sigma principles
  • Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Developed mechanical background with a variety of equipment
  • Extensive experience working on hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
  • Troubleshooting, active listening, and problem solving skills
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and being a part of a greater goal
  • Ability to maintain calm and consultative composure during customer interactions


  • 2+ years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a young fleet of heavy duty equipment is required
  • 1+ years of experience self-managing in an autonomous position with little managerial support for direction is preferred
  • Valid driver s license and a clean driving record is required
  • Own tools required to perform job is required


  • Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop and customer sites
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Valid DOT medical card and passed DOT physical
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
